Common Charge Estimates

As required by federal law, Methodist McKinney Hospital has provided a link to standard charges as reflected in the chargemaster. The chargemaster can be very confusing to patients, and we strongly encourage you to contact a facility financial counselor who can explain your insurance benefits and discounts that may apply to your specific hospital stay.

Patients may call in to our main number, 972-569-2700, press option 9, then press option 5 to reach a team member in our insurance verification office to request a hospital estimate on their surgery.

The counselors can provide you with a written estimate which details individual charges from the chargemaster, insurance or uninsured discounts and patient portion due for tests, surgeries or inpatient stays, or you can click on the Patient Estimate Tool to produce your own estimate.

Billing

Payment

Patients should prepare to pay any co-pay or deductible amounts on the day they receive health care services. Patients without insurance coverage or those who receive cosmetic surgery must pay all charges in advance. Please contact our business office for pricing information.

Patients may call in to our main number, 972-569-2700, press option 9, then press option 5 to reach a team member in our insurance verification office to request a hospital estimate on their surgery.

Call prior to your surgery so we can discuss alternative payment methods. Our patient account representatives are available 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday to discuss financial arrangements. Methodist McKinney Hospital bills your primary and secondary insurance providers or governmental agency directly for facility fees. It’s important that you bring your most current primary and secondary insurance, Medicare, or public assistance card on the day you receive hospital services.

Make note of your insurance plan’s admission policies. You or your physician might need to adhere to specific requirements to ensure maximum reimbursement. Failure to obtain pre-authorization, a physician referral, or a second medical opinion might significantly reduce or eliminate your benefits.
