I have had three surgeries done at Methodist McKinney Hospital. Each time I was there I had a great experience. The staff is professional from the Doctor that performed my surgery down to the person who came in the room and emptied the trash. The nurses were responsive to my needs and treated me with respect. They had excellent bed side manner and took time to answer my questions and to make sure I was getting the care I needed. Even the food they bring you is excellent. In fact, it is so good, if they opened a restaurant, I’d eat there.
If you find that you need to go to the hospital for some reason, you cannot go wrong if you go to Methodist McKinney.Randall W.
Many Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose & Throat) Treatments Can Be Performed On an Outpatient Basis. Methodist Allen Surgery Center’s Most Common Procedures Include:
Tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy
What is a Tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy?
- A tonsillectomy, commonly referred to as “getting your tonsils removed,” Tonsillectomies are generally performed when a patient has tonsillitis or frequent infections that won’t go away.
- An adenoidectomy is a surgery to remove the adenoids when a child has had breathing problems or ear and sinus problems that won’t go away with antibiotics.
- A tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy (T&A) is done to remove both the tonsils and the adenoids when a child has both breathing and swallowing problems.
Myringotomy and Tube Insertion
Ear tubes are inserted through an outpatient surgical procedure called a myringotomy. A myringotomy refers to an incision (small hole) in the eardrum or tympanic membrane.
Thyroidectomy is used to treat thyroid disorders, such as cancer, noncancerous enlargement of the thyroid (goiter) and overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism). How much of your thyroid gland is removed during thyroidectomy depends on the reason for surgery.
Nasal Fracture Repair
Nasal fractures can affect both bone and cartilage. A collection of blood (called a “septal hematoma”) can sometimes form on the nasal septum (a wall made of bone and cartilage inside the nose that separates the sides of the nose).
Nasal Septal Reconstruction
Percutaneous Implantation of Neurostimulator
